• LTE Cat. 1 makes strong comeback in IoT


  • The demand for LTE Cat 1 in IoT applications has slowly and steadily been gaining pace. One reason is that IoT product developers are always looking to "future proof" their solutions by anticipating their bandwidth requirements down the road, and Cat. 1 is the clear successor to Cat-M1. To support this demand, SIMCom has introduced a new line up of LTE Cat. 1 modules.
  • Flexible LTE connectivity for industrial IoT


  • The Cinterion LTE Cat 1, Cat 3, and Cat 6 mPCIe cards from Gemalto provide global coverage and reliability with optional 2G / 3G fallback when needed. These module series deliver instant access to LTE cellular networks for a range of industrial IoT applications and are very easy to integrate by simply plugging into an existing 52-pin express card slot.

  • TDK has developed a new line of EPCOS surge arresters that are designed especially for AC power line applications based on the IEC lightning protection zone concept. These arresters meet the requirements for class I, II, and III protection with current capabilities of up to 100 kA for L-N as well as N-PE applications.
  • Compact multi band LTE CAT1/CAT4 modules


  • The SIM7600E and SIM7600E-H from SIMCom are multi-band LTE/HSPA+/GSM modules. These modules have strong extension capability with rich interfaces including UART, USB2.0, GPIO etc. The SIM7600E supports LTE CAT1 up to 10Mbps (DL) while the SIM7600E-H supports LTE CAT4 up to 150Mbps (DL).
  • Add connectivity to gen4 display modules


  • The modules-on-the-go (MOTG) series from 4D Systems provide a plug-and-play interface to the gen4 range of DIABLO16 and PICASO intelligent display modules. This open interface standard responds to the demand for additional display module interface and communication capabilities.   • The SIM868 is a complete quad-band GSM/GPRS module which combines GNSS technology for satellite navigation made by SIMCom. Featuring an industry-standard interface and GNSS function, it allows variable assets to be tracked seamlessly at any location and anytime with signal coverage.

    The SIM868 has a compact design which integrated GPRS and GPS/Glonass in a SMT package. This will significantly save time and costs for customers to develop GNSS enabled applications. The operation temperature is -40°C ~85°C and supply a wealth of application interfaces.
    In addition to support GSM/GPRS and GPS, the SIM868 also has voice, MMS and Bluetooth.

    The SIM868 can fit almost in all customers applications because of his small size.
