Customs simplifications/Security and safety
Texim Europe has succeeded in qualifying for a combined Authorised Economic Operator Customs simplification & Security and safety license. The AEO status is a certified standard issued by the customs authorities in the EU. It certifies that a business has met certain standards in relation to their security, management systems, compliance with customs rules and ongoing solvency.

Texim Europe has been an AEO certificate holder since 2008. In 2015 the EU Customs authorities have considerably stepped up AEO demands. An AEO licensing system has replaced the AEO certificate which are now no longer valid. During a recent customs audit Texim Europe has shown to comply with all new requirements and subsequently a license has now been obtained. Therefore we continue to guide products through international customs procedures in an efficient and trusted way securing an optimum supply chain between Texim Europe and its partners.

By mutual recognition of AEOs two customs administrations agree to:

  • Recognise the AEO authorisation issued under the other programme, and;
  • Provide reciprocal benefits to AEOs of the other programme.
    • The EU has concluded and implemented Mutual Recognition of AEO programmes with Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Andorra, the US and China.
